Robert Wessman – Executive Chairman

Robert Wessman is the majority owner and executive chairman of Salt Investments. He is a business graduate and former lecturer at the University of Iceland. He began his career at Samskip, one of Iceland's leading shipping companies, advancing to the post of CEO in Germany. In 1999 he became the CEO of a small local generic manufacturing company with less than 100 employees and transformed it in few years into a top ranked global generics business (Actavis) with operations in more than 40 countries.

In July 2009, Robert Wessman became a major shareholder and executive chairman of Alvogen, a US based generic pharmaceuticals company. Alvogen aims to be a top 10 generic company by 2015.
